Design Hotels Creates Enduring and Memorable Customer Experiences

For over two decades, Design Hotels has been in the business of creating enduring memories for guests everywhere. As a brand that supports a handpicked portfolio of unique properties across the world, Design Hotels maintains its strongest presence in Europe where it supports nearly 200 hotels across most parts of the region including Spain, France and Germany.

Its mission is to provide original customer experiences that endure long after guests return home. This is one of the main strengths of the brand and it is one that has just been strengthened further through a new partnership with Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG), one of the most popular loyalty programs in the business.

The brand hopes that this partnership will make these memories more rewarding.

This alliance with Starwood actually first took effect in November 2015, which let member hotels acquire a greater and more selective reach while offering the benefits of the industry’s top loyalty program.

However, phase two of this partnership is now set to begin, and it has also been expanded.

“We are thrilled to bring SPG members expanded access to design-led hotels, created by true Originals in sought-after destinations,” said Chris Holdren, Senior Vice President of Distribution, Loyalty and Partnership, Starwood Hotels & Resorts. “Our expanded relationship with Design Hotels continues to raise the stakes in loyalty, boosting exposure for Design Hotels across Starwood’s industry-leading distribution and loyalty platforms, while introducing a new set of global travelers to SPG’s award-winning program.”

Phase two will allow SPG members to earn Starpoints on every stay and also redeem them at participating Design Hotels member hotels.

This should further increase the popularity of the partnership, which has already been widely accepted. Since last November 32 of over 290 Design hotels have already joined SPG. Going forward, over 30 additional hotels are set to join.
